We create our hand built designer kitchens to painstakingly high standards, and we don’t cut corners when we’re talking to our customers, either. Arrange a kitchen design consultation

A design consultation is the first step to your new Bear and Woods kitchen. We’ll visit you at a convenient time and take all the measurements we need. We take the time to discuss what you want and need from your new kitchen, and we’ll bring a selection of brochures and samples for you to leaf through and spark imagination.

Design IconStep 1: Design

We understand that a great bespoke kitchen design needs to be revised and refined. When we create a first draft of the design for your new kitchen, we know you’ll want to talk it over – and we always build in time to do that with you.

First draft

The first draft will include detailed line drawings, a floor plan, and an estimate cost for the kitchen cabinetry. We’re happy to discuss any aspect of your new kitchen, and to create as many drafts as you need. We’re kitchen designers who care about making something that looks and feels right for you.

Final draft

When you’re completely happy with the bespoke kitchen design we’ve created together, we’ll give you a full and detailed final quote with a fixed price. Once you’ve accepted our quote and paid a deposit, you can book a date for your new Bear and Woods kitchen to be hand built and installed.

Build IconStep 2: Hand build

Handmade Kitchen
We’re a joiner and a stonemason, and we build each kitchen ourselves in our Norfolk workshop. That’s why we care so much about everything that has our name on it – it’s our work, and we take pride in it.

We make sure we have everything we need for your bespoke kitchen design. Every Bear and Woods kitchen is different, so we never make the same order twice.

Creating hand built kitchens doesn’t mean leaving rough edges and imperfections. It means working to the millimetre, and putting thought and care into every cabinet, door and panel.

Quality Ccntrol and

When we’ve built your kitchen, we won’t let it leave our workshop without first checking and testing for any flaws. We’re not just kitchen planners – we’re perfectionists.

Packing for

Every Bear and Woods kitchen is an investment; something that’s built to last. We’re always careful when we prepare your kitchen cabinetry for delivery, ensuring that it arrives at your home in mint condition.

It usually takes four to six weeks to craft our hand built kitchens

Installation IconStep 3: Install

Complete installation

Your kitchen cabinets will already be finished, but installing a bespoke kitchen requires more than simply putting them in place. It requires skilled joinery work, as well as a trained eye to check that everything fits together just so, and the knowledge and versatility to fit the kitchen around any ‘quirks’ of your home, such as sloping walls.

Finishing touches

Once the kitchen installation is complete, we work on the finishing touches – the things that really make it unique. Doors are hung, handles are fitted, cabinets are hand painted in position. The installation process usually takes about a week. As the days go by, you’ll see your Bear and Woods kitchen slowly come to life. It’s our favourite part of the process.

We don’t walk away until you’re completely happy – and even then, Bear and Woods is still here for you if you need us.

If a problem does crop up a few years down the line, or you’d like to make changes to your kitchen – perhaps to have it repainted to suit a different colour scheme – just get in touch with us. Our reputation relies on every one of our kitchens continuing to look its best for many years to come.
